Nerd Builds: HG Zaku Amazing!

This week I built the High Grade Zaku Amazing, from the new series Gundam Build Fighters, and is piloted (or was created) by Tatsuya Yuuki. Yuuki is the rival of the main protagonists Sei and Reji. If you remember, I won this kit at the Gunpla competition raffle. This isn't your typical Zaku as it has been customized by Yuuki to have way more armament attached to its armor. You know the more and more I get into Gunpla and building models, the more I am amazed at how Bandai molds and creates the different parts that will become whole bodies. But I can't help but to feel that no matter who intelligent the designer is for the models, the ultimate intelligent designer is God and the ultimate creation is us, or the human body. It is perfectly made and puts me in awe of the Creator. Anyways, let's check out the build.

The box art looks cool! You can buy the booster without the Zaku if you already have a Zaku you want to customize.
High Grade 1:44 from the Build Fighters series
The manual
The runners: don't worry, you won't be using all of the pieces since some are for the standard Zaku.
Let's start with the torso

This is what your hip piece should look like after you insert all the polycaps.
hip and side skirts: fill in those panel lines!
Torso and hip together
Backpack
Side caddy for rocket launchers and heat cleavers
Making sure the plastic tubing fits into the side caddies may provide a minor challenge.
Head unit

Beginning the arms
Shoulder armor
I am not sure what those gray pieces are…maybe bullet clips for the handguns?
Arm completed!
Upper body completed!
They're either feet or bumper cars.
The hip connector and thigh
The shin armor should not have been difficult...
…except for the thruster that was supposed to be attached to this tiny peg and then snapped off. Dangit.
Looks nice with the tubing. Once again, not sure what the gray pieces are for, maybe stability?
Body done.
Weapons done. BTW those handgun caddies on the hips are not held securely at all. You may want to glue them on.
Now that's a sick Zaku…or should I say Amazing?!
How you like looking down this barrel?
This build was so much fun! Despite the booster peg under the shin armor and the loose handgun caddies, this build was my most enjoyable thus far. with all of the extras, you are getting your bang for the buck. I liked this build much better than the F2000 Super Custom Zaku, since the Amazing is not as bulky, but isn't bare boned like the regular Zaku. It wasn't too difficult in construction or time. It took me a total of maybe a day. And the poses…wow, amazing. It has simple panel lines and minimal stickers, so minimal detailing will go a long way to make this Zaku look mean. I would recommend this as a beginners build since it is a HG, but perhaps a kit to be done a couple to a few HG builds in. My final verdict is a MUST BUILD for anyone looking to expand their Zaku collection or start one.
