Nerd Builds: HG Sengoku Astray

Hello nerds! Once again sorry for the long lapses between posts. And while the internet beeps and hoops and uploads and downloads, the real world still turns. On this rotation of the earth my grandpa had a stroke and a best friend had a baby. It's been a long week. But you can rest assured that if I ever have to choose between the internet and real life, I will choose without hesitation…real life.

This week Nerd Builds features the 1:144 HG Sengoku Astray Gundam from the Gundam Build Fighters series. Once again every model that comes out from this series looks great because they are supposed to be customized models. This model was build by American Nils Nielsen and is a custom build of the Astray Red Frame.

cool gimmick: extra arms

Upper body is complete.

Lower body completed.
Now the only things that are missing are...
…the katanas.

Look at that pose.

This is unlike any Gundam I've built to this point. Look at it.
This was an interesting build, and obviously if you look at it, it's worth it. But this model comes with some untold troubles. It doesn't build like a standard Gundam as you can tell from the torso unit. The legs and arms have many added armor pieces, and each red piece has some additional "pegs" around the rim of each piece that you will need to snip off in order to piece everything together. As long as you can remember that the benefits outweigh the costs. But this is not a beginner HG set. IF you want to start on a set choose another HG model from the Nerd Builds posts. But nonetheless, enjoy~!

Blessings~!
