Thanksgiving Vacation and a Nerd's Black Friday

Hello fellow nerds! Hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Mrs. Nerd and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving getaway to Vegas (which would explain why I haven't posted until today)! Since most of our family was out of town, we were able to go on a much needed getaway. Sometimes, especially as a married couple you have to know how to walk away from everything for a little bit (even extended family) and just concentrate on the marriage. This semester has been really tough with Mrs. Nerd going back to work and school, and my school, ministry and the occasional health complication. So getting out of town, getting some rest and relaxation, and time to just talk about life and God with the Mrs was super nice.

This was on our way there at 6:30 in the morning. Plenty of vastness to pray and meditate on the Lord.
Our suite at the MGM Signature from Wednesday to Friday. $98 a night!
The Oyster Bar at the Palace Station Casino. Long wait in kind of a seedy hotel, but the best meal of the trip.
Get the Palace Pan Roast. Awesome. Thanks Kevin and Shela for the recommendation!
We were really thankful to the Lord for everything He had provided us with during the holiday including money to go Black Friday shopping. And what kind of nerd would I be if we didn't do Black Friday in Nerd of Nazareth fashion? So that's exactly what we did! Our Gunpla store, robot4less had a 35% sale on everything, and Undercity Comics had a 30% sale so PTL (praise the Lord) we got to stock up on Gundam kits and comic books! We also stopped by Walmart because they always have great game and movie deals. Side-note: Be nice to Walmart employees, they're there because they need the money for their families, not to be treated like crap on Thanksgiving.

My haul from Undercity from L to R: Batwoman vol.1, Batman Hush, X-Men Mutant Genesis 2.0. Sorry for the flash.
Mrs. Nerd's Gunpla haul are the bottom two, my haul was the one on top…and 2 other pre-order kits on the way:)
Some classics I had been meaning to pick up on Blu-ray for super cheap from Walmart
This was $25 at Walmart, and will probably take a good chunk of my time once the semester is over lol.
Praise God for always providing. I even got to bless my best friend with Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm as a "get better" present because he just had a pretty invasive jaw surgery, and he will be stuck at home for the next couple weeks until the swelling subsides. You realize just how abundant the Lord's blessings are when you can bless others in your life. So I am doubly thankful.

Here's to a quick recovery buddy!
So let's remember that even during Black Friday, we can bless others with what God has blessed us with by interacting politely with others and blessing people in need, while enjoying shopping for our new toys!

And now that Mrs. Nerd and I have all these new goodies, expect some more reviews and nerd build posts up soon!

Blessings~!
