Lego Nerd: Star Wars Poes X-Wing Fighter

Hey everyone~! A very Merry Christmas to y'all! And in time for the Christmas season and Star Wars season, we have for you today the Lego Poe Dameron X-Wing! The iconic X-wing has a new iteration for the new trilogy (and a sick new paint job) and I am excited to present it to you. So let's get started!

The box art for the awesome new X-Wing

All the contents of the box including manual, and 5 bags
the ladder to get up to the Wing and the maintenance car
The end of the first bag shows the skeleton of the cockpit.
End of bag 2 fleshes out the cockpit before wings.
End of bag 3 rounds out the rear of the Wing
One wing done. Notice the rubber band on the back of the wing?
Voila! last bag features other wing and rear jets.
Close up on crew members and Poe
Different angle of finished product
Rear view of X-Wing
This was a really fun build, especially when you get done with the main chassis of the X-Wing, and you notice it starting to come together. The wings are a little repetitive because there's four of them, but well worth it. Remember that rubber band I mentioned? Well that rubber band actually keeps the wings together when not cranked out to its "X" formation (yes there is a crank for the wings). Do I think they could have found a different way to do it? Maybe, but it's not a big deal because it's hardly noticeable and otherwise a beautiful build. I'm really happy to finally complete a ship from each trilogy with the snow speeder and Anakin's Jedi Interceptor. Anyways, tell me what you think in the comments below!

Thanks again to store friend MR for the hookup!

Blessings~!
