The cover shows guardians old and new |
As Quill and Danvers track and pick up each member from each of their own respective harrowing situations, the writers inject each member's personality back into the comic and you realize that the Guardians are truly complementary to one another and that they need each other not just to be a stronger team but to be a stronger comic.
It's really hard to be solo in life and in comics. I mean you have to be superhuman to get a solo comic and that's because they're extraordinary beings who lead lives that normal people can't live. But even Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor (who isn't even human) have to get together to be a team every once in awhile. Point being, we're meant to be relational with one another in some capacity of life. No man (or woman) is an island as they say. Ecclesiastes 4:12 says:
"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
Do you have a team of people who you can depend on and who you can help? Who is on your team? Do those people make your life more interesting? When you have to be without them, does life seem somewhat lacking? Let's appreciate and thank the Lord for the people who make up our support systems.
And if you haven't been reading Guardians of the Galaxy, you have some catching up to do before/after watching the movie!
Stay tuned for the movie review!
Blessings~!
