Wondercon 2014: Day 1

Wondercon 2014 was just this past weekend for everyone living in Anaheim, and Mrs. Nerd and I were there also! Praise God it was in Anaheim this year again. It was an awesome way to spend Easter weekend and kick off spring break. I will have posts on Wondercon going up all week. Friday was mostly an exclusives buying day (companies will release swag dedicated solely for that con that you can't get anywhere else), as well as a autograph getting day (I will have a separate post on those). Enjoy!
Our bag that contained our program and badge for Wondercon
This was the day before all the madness ensued.

Waiting in front of the exhibit hall minutes before it opened.
"Let us in!" The crowd yelled.

Me and my homie Akuma.
Mrs. Nerd needed an oversized Tardis bag, so we got one, only had to buy two t-shirts.
The masses inside the exhibit hall
Mrs. Nerd next to everyone's favorite little droid from a galaxy far, far away.
Captain America exhibit
It was an exciting first day of browsing (if not a bit overwhelming). But we also did some great shopping at DC, Kusodesigns, Bait, and Dark Horse.

Exclusive comics from DC: Batman Eternal #1, Batman 29, and Sandman Overture #1
Some recent back issues of TMNT from IDW because I heard that this arc was pretty good. The cover art is exquisite!
Voltron version of the Minicel line from Kuso-pop
Not sure what it is but it was the show exclusive .
And we got a free phone charm
I have been looking for Marvel Bearbricks everywhere and I finally found some at BAIT.
Mrs.Nerd is a huge Buffy fan and was pleasantly surprised to see her comics. Exclusive Buffy and  Exclusive Angel and Faith on the left and right, and Buffy season 8 part 1 omnibus in the middle.
Tune back in tomorrow for my spotlight on writer Kelly Sue DeConnick!

Blessings~!
