Such a cool reimagining of the Ghost Rider. |
Robbie is a mechanic in East Los who tries to stay out of trouble. He takes care of his brother who is confined to a wheelchair and when he's bullied and wheelchair destroyed, Robbie has to take matters in his own hands to replace the chair. Luckily, the boss has a new car in the shop, it's fast, and all it's missing is a new driver. Luckily, Robbie is quite a driver. The trouble that ensues results in Robbie becoming the new Spirit of Vengeance!
This comic is great for three reasons: 1) The action was fantastic! It was such a fast, action packed read and it got to the 23rd page before I even knew it. It was as fast as a fast car, and I enjoyed every second of it. 2) The art direction in the comic is great. I'm glad that Marvel is looking at some newer styles of drawing and giving new talent a chance. 3) I love the fact that the west coast is starting to get some love from Marvel, finally. With Daredevil in San Francisco, and the Punisher and Ghost Rider in LA, those of us in California are in a treat for some major landmarks being featured in our favorite Marvel Comics.
So if you haven't picked it up yet, go git it!
Blessings~!
